1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They allow websites to remember information about your visit, such as your login session, preferences, or how you interacted with the site.

2. Essential Cookies

Wafeed uses essential cookies that are strictly necessary for the Service to function. Without these cookies, you would not be able to log in or navigate the dashboard.

Authentication and session cookies

When you log in, Supabase Auth sets a session cookie to keep you authenticated between page loads. This cookie is deleted when you log out or when the session expires.

CSRF protection

Some server-side requests may use tokens to protect against cross-site request forgery. These are not persistent cookies and are cleared when you close your browser or complete the associated action.

3. Preference Cookies

We may store user interface preferences in your browser's local storage or as cookies. These help us remember your choices across sessions, for example:

  • Your chosen interface language (Arabic or English).
  • If you manage more than one business, which business you last selected in the dashboard business switcher.
  • Other dashboard display preferences.

4. Analytics Cookies

We use a small number of analytics tools to understand how visitors use our marketing site and dashboard, so we can improve the product:

Vercel Analytics

Aggregate, privacy-friendly traffic analytics provided by our hosting provider, Vercel.

Microsoft Clarity

Microsoft Clarity provides behavioural analytics, heatmaps, and session-replay recordings to help us understand how visitors navigate the site and improve usability. Clarity may set cookies and use similar technologies to recognise your browser across visits.

Clarity is only active on general marketing pages and a small number of non-sensitive dashboard pages (such as billing and branding settings). It is not active on pages that may display customer feedback content, complaint details, or contact information — including public feedback/ticket pages (wafeed.co/r/... and wafeed.co/t/...), the admin panel, and most of the dashboard. We do not send names, email addresses, or phone numbers to Clarity.

See Microsoft's Privacy Statement for how Microsoft handles Clarity data.

If additional analytics or tracking tools are introduced in the future, this policy will be updated and appropriate consent mechanisms will be implemented before non-essential cookies are set.

5. Third-Party Cookies

Wafeed does not directly set third-party advertising cookies. However:

  • Supabase (our database and authentication provider) may set cookies necessary for session management.
  • Vercel and Microsoft Clarity (see Section 4) may set analytics cookies on marketing pages and select dashboard pages.
  • Paddle may set cookies or use similar technologies during checkout, billing portal, tax calculation, fraud prevention, and subscription management flows.
  • If you follow an external link (such as a Google review link), that third-party site may set its own cookies governed by their cookie policy.
  • If you sign in using a third-party provider (such as Google or LinkedIn) where supported, that provider may set its own cookies during the sign-in process, governed by their own cookie policy.

6. Public Feedback Pages

Customers visiting a public feedback or ticket page (at wafeed.co/r/... or wafeed.co/t/...) do not need to be logged in and are generally not subject to session cookies. The feedback form is server-rendered and does not require authentication. No analytics, tracking, or session-replay cookies (including Microsoft Clarity) are set on public feedback or ticket pages.

7. Managing Cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from logging in to your Wafeed account.

Instructions for managing cookies in common browsers:

  • Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
  • Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data.

8. Changes to This Policy

We will update this Cookie Policy if we introduce new cookies or tracking technologies. Where non-essential cookies are introduced, appropriate consent notices will be implemented. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
